Jet Water Bucket

Their is an old Cuban hick tradition that at midnight on New Years eve you throw a bucket of water out your front door to symbolize getting rid of the previous years bad luck:

I wish I could do that with the Jets right now as I am still hurt/bitter about their brutal, pathetic, and painful loss in the AFC Championship. This one is gonna stick in my craw for a while.

Needless to say, I don't give a damn about softball right now much less watching the Superbowl. Check that, I think I'm going to be like my mom this year and only watch the half time show where the Black Eyed Peas are performing. I really don't like that group much, but I never get sick of their singer and big time eye candy Fergie

Besides that the game is completely meaningless to me. Jet Pain for me now is 31 year and counting, I need a new bucket

Sheer Misery. We blew this fucking game. Whether it was the lousy 1st half defense, punting, coaching (Why the fuck didn't we run out the half???), and atrocious goal line play calling when we mounted a furious second half rally only to fall bitterly short.

I've been a fan for 31 years, and this ranks up there in heart breaking losses. It hurts bad, real bad

By now everyone who reads this blog knows what a Goon is and that this week's AFC Championship Game's participants is a Goon Bowl. Some people have found it strange that no real trash talking has happened between the Jets and the Black & Yellow this week. This is

clearly a case of Goon on Goon Respect!!!!!!!

Both sides know that the best way to deal with a Goon is not talk trash to them b/c they feed on it. My beloved same old Jet Goons weren't always given this kind of street credibility but things have Changed

Tomorrow is strictly business for both sides and I know we have a great chance if our all around play and coaching continues it's wonderful progression!!!!!

In sci-fi, The Nexus is an extra dimensional realm in which one's thoughts and desires shape reality. Inside the Nexus, time has no meaning, allowing one to visit any time and any place that one can imagine. It's like being inside Joy. It's the closet thing to Heaven without dying as you get everything your heart truly desires.

Once you've been to the Nexus you never want to leave. I mean why would you unless you had to? If somehow your forced to leave, then it becomes an obsession to somehow get back and you will do anything regardless of the consequences to return.

Last week, the goon Jets

But the playoffs are far from over and we were forced to leave to play the Black and Yellow in the AFC Championship game this coming Sunday.

Softball takes a major back burner as we are on the eve of the huge Jets-Patriots divisional playoff game. Today I was reminded that far too often in softball I am the first to act like or call out people as acting "Goonish". Meaning behavior that is rude, mean, demanding, loud, nasty, obnoxious, and unreasonable. All these adjectives for most part describe Jet fans like myselfHowever, everyone knows that at least Jet fans have a right to be goons b/c of our long suffering tradition of heart breaking losses. Today I bonded with my fellow Jet Goon Fans at a Jet playoff rally at the stadium. My first instinct was that this was going to be so wack and nerdy, but it was the exact opposite. It was actually a lot of fun!!!!!!!!!!! I actually got to go on the field

and relived some of my Al Bundy like tackle football memories

The event was awesome for kids

as we got to groom our future Jet goonies

OK there were some corny sun tan saloon cheerleaders doing some jersey shore dance steps

but what really made the rally worthwhile were the old greats

and my main man #1 Jet Fan Fireman Ed (love that guy)

The time for talk is over. We know who the enemy isso now Let's Go Play Some Good Football and get one step closer to the promised land and erasing all these years of pain.

P.S. My wife is a huge Pats fans and for tomorrow we will be separated. Love her, but really want this one and I know if we play well we have a chance no matter what anyone says.
